Water is the primary medium through which we will feel the effects of climate change. Water availability is becoming less predictable in many places, and increased incidences of flooding threaten to destroy water points and sanitation facilities and contaminate water sources.
Climate change is projected to increase the number of water-stressed regions and exacerbate shortages in already water-stressed regions. (United Nations, 2020).
By 2025, 1.8 billion people will experience absolute water scarcity, and 2/3 of the world will be living under water-stressed conditions (UNCCD)
