Programme Information and Management System (PIMS) was created with the intention of supporting the functional needs of the entire UNEP Programme of Work cycle. Since its launch in 2009, PIMS has contributed to the improvement of programme delivery in the organization. It supports the planning process, guiding the way in which UNEP plans its future programming and allocates resources in a more strategic manner, taking into account lessons learned and good practices.

IW:LEARN is the Global Environment Facility's (GEF) International Waters Learning Exchange and Resource Network. It supports knowledge sharing and contains freely available project-related information. It also promotes experience sharing and learning among GEF International Waters projects and the country officials, agencies, and partners working on them.
